The best robot vacuum for hard floors Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a fantastic choice if you are looking for a robotic vacuum and mop that is middle-of-the-road. It gives a great mopping experience, but doesn’t have the features that make up its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to tackle dust and dry oats on carpets with medium piles as well as pet hair on hard floors. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn’t utilize LIDAR to map out your home.

1. IRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It has a lot of features and incredible cleaning power, including an area for dirt that is built into the base of charging. It can also learn your habits of cleaning and suggest automated schedules for a truly hands-free experience.

The iRobot Home App guides you through the process of setting up. Once everything is connected, you can begin the automated cleaning functions with the push of a button. You can choose the general clean option that focuses on the removal of larger debris such as rice and cereal. Or you can select two detailed mappings to ensure that the entire home is cleaned thoroughly.

This robot vacuum is effective on both floors that are bare and low-pile carpet. It can take in large objects and does not lose suction as fast as other models do and can remove pet hair with ease. It’s a challenge with high-pile carpets or plush carpets however, iRobot says that future models will be better.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that is focused on enhancing the edge and corner cleaning. It’s the very first Roomba that uses flat-fronted D-shaped designs. The company hopes this will allow it to fit into furniture and walls. It’s a significant improvement over hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are standard, but we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims that the S9+ has an improved filtering system that blocks microscopic dust particles and allergens from recirculating within your home. We think it’s a nice statement but not enough to justify a higher price.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of sensors that keep track of your home’s layout, and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. It then cleans your entire home efficiently by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and set virtual boundaries so that the robot knows which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

When it comes to robots that combine mopping and vacuuming the Roborock Q Revo stands out. Its vacuum settings are just as good as those found on higher-end models. The mopping system is superior – its spinning pads scrub floors more effectively than the vibrating pads.

It’s only downside is the absence of a second brush to allow for deeper cleaning. However, that’s not a problem if you want to own one of the best robots available. The dust tank on the robo-vac is bigger than most of its competitors, and filling it up takes only two or three cycles, even when you have maximum dirt.

As for the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings that are less powerful than the high-powered settings, produce little noise, so you can work or watch TV without being distracted. It will gently hit furniture or walls, and move on when it encounters one.

The Q Revo is unique in that it can run almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically moves physical trash into the bin hidden in the background and also cleans and drys mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app is adept at notifying you when something is in need of attention, such as the clean water tank running low or a scheduled vacuuming session being cancelled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also create or combine rooms to personalize the way Q Revo treats your home. This feature is helpful if you have different flooring in different areas of your home, or if you need to regularly clear out clutter such as toys, clothes and books. The robot vacuum was also among the best performers in my tests and was able to remove debris from carpets as well as hardwood floors on the first attempt. It is able to even clean up spills that are wet but I would suggest wiping them dry using a clean cloth before bringing the robot into.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot mop and vacuum combo that comes with all the features you could want. Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+, it is a top-quality vacuum that has a powerful suction that cleans carpets and hard floors, and a rotating mop that scrubs tough staining. It also has an automatic cleaning station that cleans and empty the mop pads to keep them clean and ready to be reused. It also comes with a sensor that can detect obstacles better and prevents it from falling on furniture or other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version has a sleeker, more modern design thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best robot vacuum for vacuum and mop known for its Bang & Olufsen products). While still quite big–it’s over two feet tall and deep and weighs nearly four pounds–the entire robot and its base are less bulky than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it charges faster and can handle a full cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet with just one charge. It also has a bigger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris which makes it easier to empty it when needed.

The X2 Omni also has a more natural voice assistant and an app that can be used even when you’re at home. It also comes with more mopping modes and an intelligent routing feature that gives it the flexibility to clean specific rooms or areas of your house instead of just following a specific route.

The Omni Omni has the best rated robot mop mopping performance of any robot we’ve tested because of its mop pads that rotate to scrub away tough stains and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. The vacuuming capabilities are also outstanding, and it also increases suction when it detects carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a massive battery that can last for weeks between charges, and its mopping mode is as effective as any we’ve seen in an ordinary robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a high-end mop and vacuum robot that comes with a host of features that you aren’t likely to find on robots of this price. It is able to build detailed floor maps, identify various flooring types, and it’s one of the few that can automatically wash and dry the mop pads. These features are great but they also push the L10s into the luxury category. This could mean it’s more expensive than what homeowners would need.

It is designed to look like a contemporary floor cleaner designed to look like a modern floor cleaner, the L10s Ultra is a tall and slim machine with an elegant white finish accented by mirror-plated silver elements. The front of the machine features an impressive bumper that protects the furniture and vacuum cleaner as you move around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you’ll find one button that basically is a switch for on and off. This button will activate the vacuum. By pressing it again, you can turn it off and send it back to its base station. The central control panel includes a circular menu that lets you select cleaning modes, schedules, and preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will bring up the settings menu of the app where you can alter how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

The L10s Ultra, like the iRobot Roomba S9+ or Roborock Q Revo uses a combination of LIDAR and cameras-based navigation technology to map out your home. This produces a precise floor plan that enables the robot vacuum and mop effectively without getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR assists the robot cleaner and mop vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for households with pets or young children.

The L10s Ultra is an efficient vacuum cleaner, which removes 98.4 percent of debris from our test on hard floors, and getting rid of all but the most stubborn juice staining. Its mops also perform well and remove 98.4 percent of debris from our carpet, tile and wood tests. It wasn’t as effective in removing sand from our hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
